FAQ
Is Balancing Oil suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin?

Balancing Oil is a gentle and calming formula that is suitable for most skin types.

Users that have more sensitive skin can dilute a few drops of Balancing Oil with 10ml of water and use it as a facial rinse. Alternatively, dilute 25 drops in 250ml of water as a body rinse.

If you are concerned about sensitivity, make sure to do a sensitivity test first by applying the product at the back of your ear or the inside of your arm to detect any signs of reaction or allergy. This can help reduce the chance of irritation. If you are allergic to certain ingredients, always check the product label.

During the use of products, if you experience any skin reactions, stop any intensive or treatment routine immediately and apply conditioning routine to soothe skin. If reactions persist or worsen, discontinue use immediately and seek medical advice.

Can Balancing Oil be used for aromatherapy?

As this product was specially formulated for facial and body care, it is not suitable for aromatherapy use. Hence, please refrain from using Balancing Oil with a diffuser.

How do I incorporate Balancing Oil into my skincare regime?

For locally affected areas, you can apply Balancing Oil directly after cleansing. Subsequently, continue with your skin care routine. Alternatively, you can dilute Balancing Oil with water and use as a facial rinse after cleansing.

Can I apply Balancing Oil multiple times throughout the day?

Yes, we recommend applying Balancing Oil on the affected areas as frequently as required to help reduce redness or skin irritation. Please take note to use clean fingers while applying the product. If you are using it as a facial rinse, it can be used once in the morning and at night.

For cuts and minor burns, should I rinse the area with water before applying Balancing Oil?

For shallower cuts, please rinse the wound with large amounts of water first to remove any dirt, debris or bacteria that may result in infection.

For deeper cuts and burns that sting very badly, please visit a doctor for a thorough cleaning and evaluation for stitches or antibiotic treatment.

After applying Balancing Oil to a wound, do I still need to use an antiseptic cream or lotion?

Depending on the severity of the wound, Balancing Oil's antibacterial properties can help to soothe minor wounds and injuries. If it is a shallow or minor wound, it is sufficient to apply the product liberally without applying lotion.

For large or severe cuts and burns, please visit the doctor for a thorough cleaning and evaluation for stitches or antibiotic treatment.

I am currently pregnant, can I use Balancing Oil?

Currently, there is insufficient scientific evidence to show that essential oils pose a risk to pregnancy. It is generally interpreted that the risk is dependent on several factors such as: oil concentration, the period of time a person is exposed to the essential oil, and the application used (e.g. aromatherapy, which is not suitable for Balancing Oil). Balancing Oil's scent, when inhaled, may however be a soothing relief to nausea commonly faced by pregnant women.

As each individual's condition is different and every pregnancy is unique, we will recommend that you check and get your doctor's opinion for a peace of mind. If you are allergic to or concerned about certain ingredients, always check the product label.

Can babies and infants (below 3 years old) use Balancing Oil?

Balancing Oil is not formulated specifically for babies and infants below 3 years old. Please seek your paediatrician's advice before use.

Does Balancing Oil help with eczema skin?

While this product is not formulated specifically for eczema skin, it is a gentle and calming formula that is suitable for most skin types. Balancing Oil can help to soothe and provide relief for irritated skin.

It is important for people with eczema skin to do a sensitivity test first as their skin is more sensitive. You can apply the product at the back of your ear or the inside of your arm to detect any signs of reaction or allergy. This can help reduce the chance of irritation. If you are allergic to certain ingredients, always check the product label.

When in doubt, seek your dermatologist's advice before using.
